Biography[]
Bao Yousheng, (1913-1995), was born in Shuangjie Village, Beijiao, Tianjin (now Beichen District). Practice martial arts since childhood. At the age of 15, the owner of the Tianjin Kairongzheng Automobile Company introduced that he entered the Hebei Guoshu Museum founded by Xu Lanzhou in 1928 as the first phase of the student, and he trained under Xu Jiafu as a teacher. Bao Yousheng has always insisted on practicing in the Guoshu Museum, practicing hard and obsessed with it. He was praised by "the sharp spear Li Shu-Wen", Gao Huchen, and his master, Xu. Gao Huchen and Li Shuwen gave the name "yousheng", which means "heming with sound". He has specially developed a training plan for him, and through his own hard work, he has deep martial arts attainments and outstanding achievements, making him a leader in Hebei Guoshu Museum. After three years of hard practice in Hebei Guoshu Hall, he stayed as a teacher. In October 20th, he participated in the Nanjing Games Martial Arts Challenge.
At that time, more than 1,000 martial arts athletes from various provinces participated in the competition. In ten days of fighting, Bao Yousheng won the second place in the middleweight through hard work. In October of the 21st year of the Republic of China, he participated in the second national examination of national art in Nanjing Confucius Temple and won the second place in spear art. In October 22 of the Republic of China, he participated in the sports meeting at the Shanghai Central Stadium and won the second place in middleweight boxing and the first place in spear. In the 23rd year of the Republic of China, he participated in the 18th North China Games at Tianjin Ningyuan Stadium (now Hebei District, Tianjin). He won the first place in boxing and spear and second place in swordsmanship. The chairman of Hebei Provincial Government Yu Xuezhong presented a sword from Longquan. The sword is engraved with "The ancient sword of Longquan, walks healthy and self-reliant. It was presented by Hebei Provincial Government Chairman Yu Xuezhong on October 7, Republic of China."
In 1931, the Hebei Guoshu Museum moved to the East Crossing Courtyard of Wanshan Hall, Zhongnanhai, Beijing. Next to this courtyard was the Kuomintang 29th Army Broadsword Team. Bao Yousheng had been a martial arts instructor in the Broadsword Team. After the "July 7 Incident", he followed his master Xu Jiafu to Xu's house, and their feelings have surpassed their biological father and son. Xu Jiafu set up a separate practice room for Bao Yousheng, and closed training for more than three hours a day. When practicing pushing the soft frame (Yi Jin Jing), after the specified time, Xu Jiafu personally opened the door of the room and used the shoe socket to pour out the sweat to verify the extent of Bao's sound and hard practice. Bao Yousheng has been practicing kung fu at the Guoshu Museum and Xu's family for 13 years. At that time, many senior brothers in the army wrote letters to persuade the army to develop. Bao was heartbroken after reading the letter, and his sweat decreased during the practice. Master saw him through his mind and asked him if he was impetuous. Xu Jiafu said that with your current skills, the army can develop. . In 1940, Xu Lanzhou was introduced to Qingdao Kuomintang 101 Commander Li and served as Chief of Staff Su Zhengge (Su Zhengge was the uncle of Su Zhongxiang, former director of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau before 1989) personal adjutant and martial arts instructor of the headquarters. During his tenure in the army, Mr. Bao Yousheng came to his hometown and told him that his hometown was in danger. Liu Xiaowu, the commander-in-chief of suppression bandits in five counties in the suburbs of Tianjin, conflicted with the local people over the land rent collection. Liu Xiaowu threatened to destroy the two In Jie Village, the villagers sent eight representatives to negotiate with Liu Xiaowu, but the negotiations broke down. Liu Xiaowu threatened to kill the eight representatives and other villagers. The eight representatives did not dare to return to the village after hearing about it and hid in the wilderness outside the village. After Bao heard the news, after asking Commander Li and Chief of Staff Su, he went to his hometown Shuangjie Village alone and found Liu Xiaowu to negotiate. During the negotiation, Liu Xiaowu proposed to let Bao Yousheng’s family leave Shuangjie Village and give them resettlement, and donate them to the silk and satin shops, banks, and restaurants in Tianjin, on the condition that you don’t bother about the land in Shuangjie. Bao said aloud: "I don't want anything, I want the people and land in Shuangjie", Liu Xiaowu was angered. Before the negotiation, Liu Xiaowu had already prepared and told his men to rush in from all sides to take Bao aloud, using the cup as a sign. Seeing that Bao Yousheng was indifferent to his coercion and temptation, Liu Xiaowu suddenly threw his cup and took out his gun. At the moment of the moment, Bao Shengsheng rushed up to remove Liu's gun and placed it on Liu Xiaowu’s forehead and ordered Liu Xiaowu. Xiao Wu asked all his subordinates to quit. Liu Xiaowu was taken aback. He used to hear that there was a martial arts master in Shuangjie, but he did not expect to be so fast. Seeing this, Liu Xiaowu pretended to smile: "Sound brother, just kidding." In this situation, Liu Xiaowu reluctantly agreed to Bao Yousheng's condition. After all the arrangements were made, Bao returned to the army with a voice. From then on, Shuangjie Village was turned away from danger and the people of Shuangjie Village were saved. For Shuangjie Village, Mr. Bao Yousheng has an indelible feat.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Bao Yousheng moved to Beijing, first worked in the Health Bureau, and then went to work in the Xicheng District Repair Factory in 1958. At the beginning of the Cultural Revolution in 1966, Bao Yousheng was persecuted. The Red Guards broke into the house and copied away the boxing scores and boxes of equipment left in the Hebei Guoshu Museum. He was later sent back to Shuangjie Village, Beijiao, Tianjin City (now Shuangjie Village, Beichen District). After entering the village, the Red Guards declared that this person was a historical counter-revolutionary. The old man in the village recognized that he was the benefactor of the village, Bao Yousheng, and then picked up the hoe, wooden stick, and shovel, and drove the Red Guards away. Later it was arranged by the village to work in the village, and then he was respected and loved by the villagers. Everyone in the village knows Bao’s vocal martial arts, but they have never seen it before. By chance, a house was demolished in the village. There was a two- to three-foot-thick earth wall. A dozen young men did not push the earth wall. At this time, someone suggested: "I heard people say that Mr. Bao is very good at backing, let's see his martial arts." So someone called for Mr. Bao, who said in a low-key manner: "How can I do it, so let me try." When he reached the earth wall, he saw Mr. Bao wave his left arm, stepped up and sat down. Hearing a "hum" sound, his back leaned against the wall, and in an instant, the wall collapsed with a hum, and the villagers were all amazed. There is also a record that there is a comprehensive processing plant in Shuangjie Village, where Mr. Bao teaches and staff electric welding and lathe technology. One day when I went to work, the factory's key was lost and a big iron lock could not be opened. The factory leaders and employees were very anxious. Mr. Bao said, "I will try." I saw him pressing on the lock with one hand, sitting down and shaking, hearing a "hum", opened the lock, the employees were dumbfounded and sighed! Old people in the village can talk about things like this. The villagers witnessed Master Bao’s kung fu, and since then, more and more people learn martial arts with Master Bao. At that time, Bao Yousheng was wearing the hat of historical counter-revolution, and he dared not teach martial arts clearly. He could only teach his apprentices secretly and teach Bajiquan. Later, with the proposal and strong support of the Shuangjie Village Committee, the Shuangjie Wushu Team was established. After the "Cultural Revolution was rehabilitated" in 1978, Bao Yousheng was invited by his disciple Wang Shiquan to his home in Beijing and once again taught Bajiquan in Beijing. Bao Yousheng returned to his hometown in Shuangjie, Tianjin in 1984 until his death in 1995 at the age of 82.
Teacher Bao Yousheng is noble, loyal, and rigorous. He has devoted his life to the development of Bajiquan, and has many disciples in Beijing and Tianjin. They have made outstanding contributions to the promotion, advocacy and promotion of Bajiquan. At the same time, he has passed down the martial arts of Hebei Guoshuguan to today.
In 2006, under the strong support of Liu Chunhai, the deputy secretary of the Shuangjie Township Party Committee and the chairman of Shuangjie Real Estate Group, Bao Yaqi, the son of Mr. Bao Yousheng, led his brothers Zheng Ziqian, Wang Jingzhou, and Liu Chunyan.
